Downstairs Hallway: Part 3

The trip to Home Depot was successful. I even found some white shelves I will try to put up after the painting is finished. Although, for whatever reason, I feel like they need a lip on the end so the jars don't fall off. Why? I don't know. I never worry about other items on shelves just randomly slipping off. Why do I think the jars will? Seriously tell me!

Little Miss is down for her nap! Yay! Cross my fingers that she will take a good one so that I am able to paint the entire hallway! (Yeah right, but you never know.) If you are a mama like me, (Or papa, don’t want to exclude you men out there) you can only do your major crafting or projecting while the baby is sleeping. For example: I can do the taping part of my project while the baby is up, because I can quickly drop that if she needs help, but the actually painting... not so much. I only have a limited time while she is down for a nap. I must use my time wisely.

Well, I did get some done before she woke up after only 45 minutes (come on baby really?) although not as much as I had hoped. See?

I spent about 30 minutes trying to help her fall back asleep and finally set her down again thinking "well she seems tired maybe she will fall asleep on her own". Ha, ha that’s funny.

Wait, I don't hear her crying! Ok pour some paint out and let's go!

60 seconds later she starts crying, but I let her cry a few minutes so I could finish up. I didn't want the paint I had poured out to go to waste; that would be terribly irresponsible of me!

(Sigh) Doesn't that just make you happy? Actually this picture kind of sucks and you can't really see the real color. I will hopefully take a better one when it really is all done so you can simply gaze upon it when you are feeling stressed and all your worries will disappear!

What do the boys thinks of it? Let's find out!  I know you can't wait.

Cheetah Boy was not too happy when he returned from Bio-Dad's house and found that Mother had painted without him! I promised we had lots more painting to do and he could help.  And see!  Look at the pretty blue! (sigh)

What does Grumpy think? This is his "Wow, I like it" expression; for reals he does like it. Seriously.

And now to wait for Little Miss’s next nap.

Want to know what happened earlier?  Read Part 1, and Part 2!

Kisses~

Do you often get interrupted during projects by the kids??

  1. I LOVE the color! I think you should paint blue on the ceiling too, but make white cloud shapes and you could put pretty nature pictures on the opposite wall from the can shelves!

  2. That's so pretty I love it! And you are very brave to attempt that during a nap, lol! I don't think I would paint with my son anywhere in a 25 mile radius haha!

    1. Thanks:) Well it is downstairs (which isn't the main floor of the house) so I have a gate at the top of the stairs so Little Miss can't get down there if/when she does wake up! I want to paint the living room at some point... she will probably need to go to Grandma's when that happens!
