Back Deck: Part 2

Oh my goodness!  It has been almost a week!  Epic, epic fail Super-Mommy!! 

First thing is first.  The old deck has to go!  I am very excited about this part.  Here are my tools.

 

Let's get started.  My dad is helping me on his spare time, so it will take awhile and we have to do it in sections.  But this first time my dad suggested we rip up the old patio and the steps to the lower deck.  After tearing down the steps he just hit one of the posts with a hammer and this happened.  Here he is making a face because that post is pretty bad.  It is basically a shell.  Not good.  I am glad we are re-doing the decks!! 

 

 

While my dad worked on the steps I got started on the patio.  It was pretty fun I must say. 

 

It is getting there!!!  These boards just came right up.  They were pretty rotten.  I mean, I am so amazingly strong that I was able to just rip them all out. 

 

 

My dad had to work on getting the posts out.  They were concreted in.

 

Oh boy, my Dad just pulling out the post!  No big deal.

 

Cheetah Boy helped too.  He was very excited he got to hammer and break the railing!! 

 

Check it out!  The patio is gone, the stairs and half the railing is gone from the lower deck!  That hot tub we want to get rid of, you want to come get it??  $100 bucks, OBO. 

 

 

I can't wait to do more!!
