Time to rip this deck down!!!! This is what I did all by myself. And you know you need a new deck when you can literally push the railing off. Yeah it was pretty bad. (I am sure the average person would not have been able to push it off, but I am the Super-Mommy after all.)
Random cute picture of Little Miss sleeping!!! (No pictures of Cheetah Boy in this one because this is he week long visit with Bio-Dad, sad face.)
Grumpy helped some too. Here he is trying to push the deck down. We worked for about an hour before Grandma and Grandpa Obi-Mon arrived. (This is how awesome I am, Grandpa said "We will be up around 12-1ish". I told Grumpy that and then I added, "which means they will be here at 2." Guess what time they arrived? That's right, 2.) Anyway. Yes, Grumpy you are so strong.
The upper deck is GONE!!!!!
Now the stupid hot tub that no one wanted. We had one hell of a time trying to get that f'ing thing off. Ok, Grumpy and Grandpa Obi-Mon had a hell of a time. I stood in the shade watching. There were several times when we started yelling "it's gonna go!" and it didn't. I have about a million pictures. I am sure you would just LOVE to see them all, but I will only show you the ones when it actually fell. We were going to try to get it off nicely in case we could still find someone who wanted it. But that didn't work, so I said "just get it off." And they did.
It's going! It's going!!!
And it's off. Thanks strong muscle men! I loves you both so much!
This is how Grumpy works. F'ing Grumpy. (Wow, I am swearing a lot in this post huh? Or like half swearing cause I'm too scared to really swear! My Mom reads this blog.)
Anyway, it is difficult to tell in these pictures. but it was HOT. Like 120 degrees I think, and we were in direct sunlight. It was HOT. Ok, it wasn't really 120 but it was like 95. Which is way to hot for me! And most definitely too hot while tearing down a deck.
Let's continue shall we?. Oh Yeah, Grumpy got stuck under the deck. Giggle, giggle. He actually really did got stuck. Poor baby. But don't worry I helped him after I took the picture. Or maybe five minutes later.
Some sweet pictures of me working hard. I am one tough Mama huh? I know, I know.
All gone!! And now our backyard is a junk yard! Gross I hate it. But it will look wonderful when it is all done.
And now it is time to build the new deck. If you are awesome and follow me on Facebook and/or Instagram you will notice the picture I posted a few minutes ago of all the materials being delivered! Grandpa Obi-Mon is on his way now so we can get to work.
Once again, this is NOT a how-to-do-it-yourself. I am simply showing your my journey re-building our deck with the help of my dad, who is a contractor and has been doing this for 30 some years.
Ok, thanks.
Kisses~
