Back Deck: Part 5

First of all.  I'm enjoying a blizzard right now.  Double-Fudge Cookie-Dough.  Yum-oh-yum!!  Ok, on with my post.  (Oh, my goodness so yummy!)

I know you all have been anxiously waiting to find out how the deck is coming along!  Well after destroying the whole thing we ran into some difficulties.  Although, we did pass the first inspection!  Which had to do with the distance from the fence and how the posts were going to be put in the ground and what not.  Anyway.

Yeah.  Not good, clearly.  Why else would Grandpa Obi-Mon be making such a weird face!  Oh yeah, he always makes weird faces.  But really.  That isn't good. Luckily for us, Grandpa Obi-Mon knows everything and was able to fix it all up.  However, it did take two days. (sigh)

Oh yeah, at one point I was watching him saw into the house... right below me.  Awesome.  I was very happy the house didn't fall down.

After Grandpa Obi-Mon (that name is really long, and it takes forever to type!  Maybe I should just shorten it to Obi-Mon....) fixed up the walls and such, I primed the new siding.  That was all kinda boring.  I mean very necessary, but nothing weird or funny happened to let you all know about.  However, I also got to do this.

Yup, I did that to the block of cement.  It was awesome.  And really, really difficult!  I have a bunch more to do.

Warning.  The next couple pictures will make you go "eeewwwaaahhh" or some other weird uncomfortable noise.  However, I have to share my battle wounds.

Yeah some pretty nasty bruises and I skinned both my knees pretty bad.  Well I skinned them or burnt them, not really sure.  It was when it was really hot out and I was on the old deck on my knees ripping it off.  So yeah, I don't know what happened.  The one bruise is from missing my mark with the crazy bar and the other is from some of the deck falling on it.  Oh yeah, and I am in a wedding and will be warring a short dress....  I am hoping my wounds will heal by then.

Ok, they did heal up mostly.  The wedding was two days ago.  I'm not good at pretending this is real time or whatever.

So there you have it,  some work done, but not too much.  Well a lot, but not much on the deck yet.  (sigh)  It is getting there.

Kisses~
