Front Yard: Part 1

I know this is a "part 1", and I am trying not to start a new projects until I have finished others, however this is kind of a continuing of the other projects in the front house area.  But I am just so excited about my idea for the bench that was on the front porch.  Here is a picture before we moved it off the porch.  Can you guess what I am going to do??

I need some of our old fence slats.  (Before we got Doggie a few months ago we built a new fence around our backyard and Grumpy insisted on keeping some of the old fence slats.  I guess they will be put to good use.  Sometimes it is good Grumpy insists on keeping stuff, but don't tell him I am admitting to that.)

Cheetah Boy helped me bring some of the slats out front where I would need them.  I don't know why he just has socks on.  Silly boy.

And see our new awesome fence??  Looks pretty good.  I am not sure if I have any old pictures somewhere of the old fence, but I will look through and maybe write a post about all that.

Um side note.  We re-did the front area not to long ago too, but the before pictures are on my old computer, and I'm too impatient to wait until I figure out how to transfer them to my new computer. So basically there were a bunch of bushes in this area (picture below) and I made Grumpy dig them all out and then we put down new bark chips.  I helped too.  Actually I dig up all the roots because Grumpy wanted to just bury them, which clearly would not work because they would just grow back.  It looks so much better now then it used to!

Ok so we moved the bench up there to the front bark chip area.  Cheetah Boy would like you to notice the road he built with the fence slats.  That boy is quite creative.  He would travel along his road (to avoid splinters because he has no shoes on) and jump off.

Have you figured out what I am building yet???  That is right, it is going to be a planter deal.  So cool.  I love it!  I am very anxious to work on it more!

Kisses~
