Laundry Room: Part 3

I know, I have left you hanging.  You haven't been able to sleep at night because you are wondering what I have done with the laundry room.  Well I have done some pretty fun stuff.  First of all I hung up those shelves that I thought about putting in the hallway.  Grumpy walked in and saw me hanging them up and mumbled something about needing to go outside with Little Miss.  I think he was worried I would make him help.  They fit perfectly here and the door is able to open all the way without hitting them.

If you remember, (or not maybe) I want to paint the cabinets white to look all pretty.  So I have been reading up and trying to figure out how to paint cabinets.  I think you are supposed to sand them first, prime them and then paint.  I did sand them, although probably not as well as I should have.  I will let you know what happens, if all the paint falls off, you will learn to never paint cabinets when you barley sand them.  Anyway, then I cleaned them really well.  Ok I wiped them down with a wet cloth.  Here is a picture in case you can't envision that.

I also think you are supposed to take the doors off before you paint them, but that clearly is WAY too much work, so instead I am going to leave them on and paint it all, but I didn't want the open doors to accidentally hit the wall, so I taped up a bunch of newspaper.  Pretty nice taping job huh?  In my defense it was the roll of tape that the dog got a hold of and so it was all bit up and kept ripping weird when I tried to get it.  It was annoying.  Although that does not explain my weird taping job... whatever.  I was having fun with it.

So I painted it all with primer. Um, I was thinking "it is just a small cabinet it will be super easy."  No it's so annoying.  It is so annoying painting cabinets!  There are lots of corners, and especially if you are like me and decide to paint the inside too, so annoying!  I understand why on most blogs I read about painting cabinets, people use spray paint.  I thought that would be too complicated and bad-fumes-y.

I also just painted over-or primed over the hinges.  I don't know if that was wise or not, but I was way too annoyed to be careful and not prime them.  Also I don't know if I am supposed to do more then one coat of primer or not.  You know?

Want to take a bet on if you think my paint will stick or not?  Ha!  Ok I was supposed to be working on homework, but instead I finished up this blog.  I should go to bed now.  Good night.

Oh by the way, I had a dinner tonight with some extended family.  My family is seriously the coolest family ever.  COOLEST.  FAMILY.  EVER.

Kisses~

How many coats of primer should I do?  Hurry answer before I mess it up!
