Porch: Part 1

So first of all.  I am sorry.  I failed you guys.  I did not go garage sale-ing this morning.  Instead I tried out Zumba for the first time.  Wow.  I get why so many people love it.  I am sure I looked completely SILLY though!  It is very fast paced and I have no sense of rhythm.  It was fun though, and I would love to go back.  I was sweating by the end, it is a fun workout for sure.  I just hope I will get better at it!  I didn't even do any of the arm movements today, because it kept messing me up more when I would try.

All right onto the post.  It is a new project, but also kinda a continuation of the front walkway.  It is the porch.  This is like the first place people see when they walk up to your house!  It should reflect what they will find inside your home.  well mine says trashy people live here.  No good.

Ok.  I'm scared to even post this.... But my porch is in desperate need of some pretty-ing up! 

Take a look.

Yikes.  Pretty white trash if you ask me.  We need to at least clean it off, and not use it as a parking space for items!  And what is with that bench that is the same color as the house?! 

So I know this isn't really like a huge project or anything, but it is still a space that needs to change! 

The Plan

Ummm clean all that crap off.

Get rid of that bench... Or maybe I could paint it?  Actually I think its rotten.... Ok check out the bench, see if I should paint it or burn it.

And my super-duper-awesome idea for the front.  I don't know if this should go in the porch project or with the walkway project, but whatever I'll tell you now!  That space where the rocks don't quite fill.  I want to put up, what are they called?  The criss-crossy thing that you have plants climb up?  And put a climbing plant there.  So it would shade/hide the front porch a little, so you could sit out there and see people walk by but not be obvious.  You know, so you could secretly spy on your neighbors. Sounds like fun, huh? 

The last part of my plan is to (if I don't paint the bench) find some cute chairs and a little table.  Maybe a welcome sign or something cutesy like that.  Just something.  (Something used, I promise!  Or home made.) It's so completely blah right now!  Well no it's white trash right now, and would be just blah without all the stuff on it!
