I have a big paper due in the morning so I should be working on that. But I want to blog instead.
We worked a little more on the back deck area. Not the actual deck, but some of the other changes back there near the deck. Hmm, I wonder if I should call it the back yard project? No, it is all part of the deck project.
Ok, anyway. So let's see what pictures I remembered to take.
If you remember this is what it looked like at first.
And then I ripped out that patio with my super strong muscles! Ok, it was pretty rotten and wasn't that difficult. But still, I'm awesome.
Next, we needed to move that shed somewhere else. It is silly right there, doesn't make any sense. We want this all to be more yard, and we will put the shed over on the side yard that we never use. However, there is a ton (not literally a ton, but a lot) of gravel by the shed, so I had to dig it all up and move it to the "dirt area". A spot with dirt (and now gravel) for children to dig, build and play with trucks in. Grumpy helped by pushing the wheelbarrow.
And he helped me move the shed. Look at that!
We also had to move and pull up all the rotten wood that was under there.
Grumpy had to stop every two seconds to shout about some awesome bug he found. (sigh) City boys.
Opps, I guess I didn't take any totally after pictures or of the new play area. Let me go do that. Just sit tight a wait a moment....
La, la, la just waiting for them to load now.
Thanks for waiting. Here is what it looks like now with no shed and crap there. We need to get some fill dirt in there because there was a hole kind of where the shed was. But looking much better! And this will all be grass. It makes the yard already look so much bigger!! I love it.
And the dirt play area. I know it's awesome. I want to play in it! It is difficult to see but it is like 6 inches deep of gravel now. I did all that. Yup.
Oh and Grumpy wanted you to know he can pull out stumps too. He pulled this one out on the side of the house. That dirt will all my grass too. Grumpy you are so strong and powerful. I love your arms. Oh those arms.
Anyway. It is getting there. We also got the permit stuff all figured out. So now Grandpa Obi-Mon is going to order the supplies and hopefully make it up here soon to help with more work.
We still have the hot tub! Who wants it?!?!? :) :) :)
Kisses~
