The New Place

My new house is SO cute. And it fits me so wonderfully!  I hope I took enough pictures when I first moved to show you around.  But Before I moved in my friends and I cleansed and blessed my new home.  It was fun.  We burned sage and chanted as we walked around the house.  My new neighbors were all terrified I'm sure.

It was pretty fun actually and felt right.  It was a way to cleanse and rid myself and the house of any negative items and acknowledge that it was a new beginning.  The children took part as well.

Also, my mom brought me this.

Do you get it?  Well you should.  Its from "Its a Wonderful Life" (Maybe other places??) But that is where I know it from.  And she said the little saying with it.
"Bread that this house may never know hunger.
Salt that life may always have flavor.
And wine, that joy and prosperity may reign forever."

It was all such wonderful things to start out a new chapter in my life.

And yes, that is a Lego AT-AT walker.  I know you are really jealous.  I got it for myself.. well Cheetah Boy for Christmas... but he has destroyed it.  I have a secret stash of the parts and when I have a few free hours I will rebuild it and place it in my room....  Is that bad??

Ok. Continuing.

This is how my brother loads his rig.  I was really scared. Somehow it all made it to the new house undamaged.

Also, do you see that moving truck?  That wasn't mine.  But, it was so amazingly perfect. So.  I can't remember if I have talked about my noisy neighbor (ex-neighbor) across the street.  Well another neighbor was moving the same weekend, and this huge moving semi was blocking the view so he couldn't come over and intrude.  I'm sure he could see around it. But was so confused and had no idea what was going on. Which brought me such happiness. It's the small things.

Ha, ha, ha, ha.  It couldn't have been more perfect if I tried.

I don't really have any goo picture of the house.  Boo.  I will add them as I do project around the house and you will still get to see.  Not to worry.

One more thing, My NEW neighbor, (who also happens to be a good friend) brought me cookies. It was sweet.  Especially because sometimes I question if she has a soul.  (This will only be funny if she reads it, but I don't think she will because she doesn't read.)

There you have it.  The beginning of my new home.  There will be many, many projects and wonderful times here. I'm excited to share them with you.

Loves~

Happy New Years! With the Best Party Ever!

Happy New Year!!  I hope you had a wonderful evening last night and day today; and didn't party too hard!

What did I do?  Yeah, I had a Star Wars marathon party.  The plan was to watch all 6 movies, but we only got through Empire Strikes Back before midnight because we started a little late.  But it was still fun!  Here are a few pictures.

Oh wait, before the actual party pictures, first my rant.  SO, the night before my folks took the kiddos for the night, which was AWESOME, and I was able to sleep in a little!  But then I was stressing wanting to get everything ready for the party.  I know, I know, it was just my folks and brother coming over but still when it comes to people coming to my house I like for it to be clean and everything to be ready or whatever.  So I asked Grumpy if he could take Doggie for a walk,  mostly I wanted him out of my way.  But what does he do instead?  He decides it is the perfect time to take down the christmas tree.  I politely ask him not to because I know it will just make a BIGGER mess that I will have to clean up and I already have a million things to do.  He insists he will deal with it all.  What do you think happened??

Yup, huge mess that I had to clean up.  Oh, and he chopped up the tree to fit it in the yard debris deal, and I said "Hey why don't you take the tree out first, it would make less of a mess"  Want to know the reply.  Get ready for it.

"But then it will get needles everywhere, if it is in here we can just vacuum it up."

"You are worried about getting needles everywhere OUTSIDE?"

"Oh."

Yeah.  That happened.  Oh well, it all worked out ok.  I guess I could look at it as he gave me something funny to write about in the blog.  But at the time, so not funny.

Love you Grumps.

On to the party!!  I made some super fun Star Wars themed items.

Some pretzel light sabers.

Light side and dark side chips.

Some Yoda soda

Some tie-fighter balloons.

I had like a million other cool ideas I was going to do, but I didn't have time, sense I was cleaning up after Grumpy.

Grandpa Obi-Mon reading Little Miss a star wars book during the party.

 Darth Vader Family!!!

I'm trying to show you my Leia buns, but my hair isn't that long so it didn't work well, and I couldn't get a good picture.

Also, this is a picture of a picture of me when Phantom Menace came out.  I was channeling some serious Darth Maul!!!

Yeah,  I love Star Wars.  Like crazy-ness.

Happy New Year!!

I have a question!!

I'm having some project and writers block.  Boo.  I don't know what to do a project on, and I don't know what to write about!

I just looked through my old blog posts and was looking at the page views to see what the most popular topic where.  yeah it was my post saying I was going to do that 31 day deal.  AND then I failed at that.  so that sucks, I probably would have gotten a million trillion new followers if I had stuck with it.

And I do know what I want to do a project on actually, but I don't know if I have the energy for it at the moment.  I want to redo the downstairs bathroom.  Well not totally re do, but like take the wallpaper out and paint it all.  Its so ugly.  But that sounds like a lot of work, doesn't it?  How do you even take wallpaper off?  Anyone know?  Please tell me, or please come over and just do it for me.

Oh, I just randomly remembered my dream last night.  Ick.  Not a good one.  Not good.  Nope, not going to tell you.

Ummmm.  What else did I want to share with you?

Nothing, Little Miss is crying.  (sigh)  I don't think she will nap for me today.  She is currently crying "oh, mommy, oh mommy, oh mommy".  I should go.

Ok but really, someone tell me how to get off wallpaper?!?

Garage: Part ?? Also Some Info on my Etsy Shop!

So remember a LONG time ago I said I was working on something for Grumpy's birthday??  Probably not, that was like two months ago.  Well.  Here is what I did.

Well first some BEFORE pictures.  I know I posted some other stuff about the garage transforming into a man cave, but its been awhile so you probably don't remember.  Its ok I forgive you, I don't remember!

Disgustingly messy garage!!!!

And then to begin my project!  While Grumpy was sleeping during the day on his birthday mind you!  Little Miss was such a good sport.  No not really, well for a little bit.  I don't really remember it was a while ago!  (As I already said like a million times.)  OK.

Ahh!!! My hand!!!!

Just kidding it is just red paint.  Did I freak you out?  hahaha.  Probably not....

Um I broke the one brush... well it is the extension deal and like the handle of the roller brush broke off inside of it.  So I no longer have an extension deal.  Good think I already painted the high ceiling walls... well I still have to do the dinning room, oh boy.

Other than that, it was pretty uneventful.  Grumpy woke up before it was done.  OF COURSE.  He was too excited for his birthday I guess.  Want to know how old he turned??  I shouldn't tell you, he will be GRUMPY.  Ok, you convinced me.  40!!  Oh boy he Is getting old.  Love you Grumps.

Ahh the sun just shone through the window really bright and I can't see my computer screen and have no idea what I am typing!  Ok well I mean I can't see what I'm typing

So here it is!  I painted it the same red as the playroom USED to be.  .

Looks pretty good, huh?  Grumpy liked it.  I think.  I don't know he still isn't using it as his man cave.  Instead he grumps around the house complaining about not having his own space and always being interrupted.  (Sigh)

And one more thing!  Not related to the above, BUT I added some new items to my Etsy Shop!  So you should check it out!!!

You can also get some coupons if you follow my Etsyshop and also follow it on Pinterest!!  The little writing at the bottom just says to message me what you do, so I know to send you the coupon codes!

Ok, have a lovely day!

Happy Christmas Time!!!!

In Other News: Part 2

I figured I would give you an update on my life, because I have been absent for so long.  And I know you all really want to hear about me.

Um.  I don't really know where to start because it has been so long!

The most exciting thing that is happening is that I opened an in-home daycare.  I am very excited about it.  I went through and took all the classes and had my home inspected and all that.  I have a blog for the business too.  You should check it out.  Dragonfly Daycare.  I PLAN on blogging there about in home daycare type stuff.  But we shall see when I have time for that.

I had Pneumonia!  It was NOT fun.  And then three weeks later Little Miss caught it.  She didn't have it as bad as I did though, thanks goodness and we caught it early.  She is on the mend now.  And. OMG.  So yesterday I receive a voicemail that says my doctor has a message for me, so I call them back.  After being transferred and the person saying "Um.  Oh yes here it is. (Looooooooooooooooooooooong pause.) Oh it looks like they sent you a letter.  (Loooooooong pause.)  Um let me put you on hold."  Ok that freaked me out, now I'm thinking something is wrong with me and only someone specially trained can tell me?  But now I get through to someone else who says "ok so it looks like you had an x-ray and it came back that you had pneumonia."  Um. Yeah I know that. I took the meds and am already feeling better. Then he goes on to tell me I need to schedule a following up x-ray in January.  I ask if I can schedule that now, and he said no.  WTF.  Completely pointless phone call.

Anyway.  That wasn't fun.  Any of it.

Cheetah Boy just turned 7!!!!  What.  How did that happen?!?  And he can read.  It all the sudden clicked one day and he said "Mommy!  I can read!"  And sure enough, he can!

I am taking two classes online and they are going well.  Two history classes with lots of writing.  And somehow in one of them I am getting 100% and the other like 75-80%.  Ummmm I have the same writing ability!  And the same ability to process information and write about it!  I don't' understand.  And obviously I'm an awesome writer.

Oh well.

Random picture time!!!

Grumpy making apple cider at my folks!

Little Miss stacking these multi sized bowl things.  I don't know what that is called.  But she is awesome at it!

Cheetah Boy with an awesome tepee he made with sticks from our yard and the hot glue gun.  What? How is he so creative!  he told me he wanted to make a collage, and this is what he made!

Really pretty sunrise from our back deck.

So that is what I have been up to.  How about you??

Kisses~

31 Days!!!!

Help.  Gals and guys I need your help.

First of all, I'm sorry I haven't posted in so long!  I feel bad.  I know I have said that the last like million times I've written a post, so it probably doesn't mean anything to you.  I am also sorry for that.  So I want to make it up to you.   I have an idea, so stay tuned.

When I first started this blog way back in... I don't know how long it has been, several months I think. Oh it was in May... or April... I don't know, but one of the things I was excited about doing was this deal that a bunch of bloggers do which is a 31 day post challenge in October.  Basically you blog every day for the whole month about a specific topic.  I had first thought I was going to do a series called "31 Days to a more Beautiful Closet", but that isn't in the stars for now.  (Don't steal my idea though!  Maybe I will do it next year.)  So even though I haven't posted in awhile, and I have NOTHING planned for the 31 day deal, I want to do it.  Once again finding inspiration in my favorite Blogger Kelly. (I just love her.)  Anyway, she hasn't been posting for awhile, but she just posted on her Facebook Page that she was thinking about doing the challenge, even though she hasn't really thought about it.  I know, I know maybe she is lying and has totally already written everything out and maybe I have to.  But no I have not and she hasn't.  Because she is awesome and she would never lie.

ANYWAY.  So here is how I need your help.

I have a couple ideas (that I literally just thought of today) for topics, but I need your help deciding.  So let me know what you want to read!  Please, please, please. Here are the topics I thought up, however, if there is something totally different that you think I would be awesome at blogging about for 31 days let me know!

31 Days to Starting an In-Home Daycare (oh... yeah I'm trying to do this right now)

31 Days of Home Loving Lists and Schedules (Like cleaning schedules, menu plans and such.)

31 Days of Alphabet Activities (Like for kids... Maybe the name isn't totally right, but like arts, crafts and other projects that would work in like preschool or homeschool and go along with each letter of the alphabet)

I realize none of these are really in my like re-doing the house type projects... but if you hadn't noticed, I changed the name of my blog to ".... Crafting my way to a Beautiful Life" not house so it kind of works for all home related stuff.  I don't know. Whatever.

So please, comment with your vote!  And again if there is something else you think I should do, comment that too!  And we shall see what happens!  I will do the topic that receives the most votes.  (Unless it is the one I don't really want to do, then... well I don't know.)

Also, (because apparently I don't trust you guys to comment out of the goodness of your heart) if you comment I will enter you in a drawing to win an item of your choice from my Etsy Shop!  No, I do trust you guys, I just appreciate the help so much that I want to do something for you!

So there it is.  Thank you in advance!!!  And you have until September 30th at Midnight to vote and enter.  (If you share this post on your Facebook page, you will get an extra entry!  Please comment to let me know you shared it!)

Thanks!

Craigslist Win and Fail

Ok.  Deep breath.  So I had told you yesterday I would be going to check out a playhouse that I found on craigslist.  And I think I have told you that I hate people.  Well, people just stress me out so that is why I hate them.... Or whatever.

So it started out well.  I went and checked out this playhouse and ended up buying it.  (I didn't haggle with her at all, I just gave her what she asked for.  Grumpy was a little grumpy about that... but I don't know how to haggle!)  She was very nice and when the whole thing didn't fit in the back of the pilot she offered to put it in the back of her minivan and followed us to our home and helped unload!  Very sweet.

The house is super cute, and Little Miss loved it!  I got it for $65.  Please tell me you think that is a good deal, even if it isn't.  But tell me you are not lying it really is a good deal.  For reals.  Seriously.

Silly, silly girl.

THEN, I was going to go check out this water/sand table this evening after I dropped of Cheetah Boy with his bio-dad.  However, I was driving there using my phone as my GPS and I was, oh, about 4 minutes, MAYBE, from the house and my phone died.  I have NEVER had my phone die on me before. So I drove around the neighborhood about a half hour, because from my knowledge of how addresses work I knew I was close.  (Apparently my knowledge of addresses isn't that awesome though.)  But alas I could not find it.  And I was thinking, I better get home and charge/check my phone because I told Grumpy I was checking something out on craigslist and I was stressed out it was some crazy person.  Yes, I passed many people out for an evening stroll, and I could/should have asked if they knew where the street was, but I hate people remember?  I know I have issues.  But when I got home, there were no worried messages on my phone.  (sigh)  Something terrible could have happened!  Well worse then what did happen.

Oh well, I got the house at least.  I could go back and look at the table tomorrow, but I am not sure I want to know how close I was.  And it is a 20 minute drive from my house, and I feel like I would need to get a better deal on it.  I don't know, we shall see.

So there you go.  Ok, hope you are having a better Friday the 13th then I.  (Ok, I know I need to focus on the WIN I had, not fail.)

Kisses~

What craigslist wins and/or fails have you had??

In Other News

This is a post about just some random-ness.

First of all, I know you have been worried about if I survived Hood to Coast or not!  I did.  And I only walked about half a mile during my last leg!  I was very proud of myself.  However, we didn't sleep.  There were So many people and the traffic was terrible.  This was my first year running it, but both my sisters who have done it several times, said that traffic had never been that bad before.  I am very glad I did it though.  I wish I could tell you all the funny lines we were saying in the van, however unless you are sleep deprived, running a crazy amount of miles, and stuck in a van with 6 other stinky people, you probably wouldn't get it.  "Follow that flamingo!"  (giggle, giggle, giggle)

Anyway, remember how I was like "Oh I don't need to paint behind the holder deals for the shelves because I am going to keep the shelves in the same place"  in this post.  Well obviously I jinxed myself by saying that because sure enough shortly after Grumpy was holding Little Miss a little too close to the shelf and she pulled the whole thing down.  So there it is, the line that did not get painted.

I am annoyed.  Ok I think I have some left over paint, so I could/should fix it.  Maybe another time.

The strawberry jam turned out perfect!  Not too thick or thin... so I must have added the correct amount of Pectin.  Or not, but it still turned out!

We found this awesome trail that is within walking distance from our home.  I just can't believe it.  I mean look at this.

Seriously.  What?  I know!  It is awesome.  And they are kept up, obviously, and there was a sign about the city's parks rules and such.  So they are like official trails.  I am beyond happy.  It goes all up into the woods and after you go a ways there is a four way intersection of trails!!!  I know!!!!  I love it.  So excited.  I just can't stop.  I feel like I can breath again.

I feel like there was something else that I wanted to let you know about.  Some other update....

Little Miss and Doggie

So, I don't know how much I have told you all, but I love my dog.  And I didn't know I was such a dog person until we got her.

I have learned a few things about how puppies and babies are similar.  Or at least how Doggie is like Little miss.  You probably won't like this post if you are not a dog person.  Sorry.  And I wish I had a picture of each item on the list.  That would be pretty adorable.  Again sorry.

They both want to be constantly in my space.  Even if we are in the same room and they can SEE me, they still cry/whine until they are right there with me.  They always need to be literally touching me.

They both want whatever they don't have.  (Ok this is kinda true for everyone in the world) but they cry until they get it.  Little Miss always wants what Doggie has, and Doggie always want what Little Miss has.

They both LOVE the pile of dirt when I am trying to sweep.  (sigh)

They both love playing in ANY pile of dirt!

They both want to snuggle constantly.  However, they will only snuggle for two seconds and off they go, only to return for more two second snuggles.

They also both love me unconditionally.  It is pretty awesome.  And they love each other.

Why I love Farmer's Markets

Ok, so not so long ago, I had never really been to a farmers market. I don't really like people.  They stress me out, so walking around a bunch of booths where people just talk to you, kind of freaks me out.  I'm not kidding.  However, Grumpy finally somehow convinced me to go to one last fall.  And guess what?  I loved it.  LOVED it.  So fun.  So now I am going to challenge myself to ONLY buy produce from the farmers market throughout this summer/fall.  Ok, probably wont happen.  My children love bananas, and I don't think those grow around here, however I will do my best.  So here you go, my reasons why I love them so much.

The kids love it!  Cheetah Boy gets all excited.  Of course he had to make a silly face for the picture, but every time I tell him it is Saturday and we get to go to the market he cheers.  I love it.  Little Miss doesn't really care either way.  But she will be growing up going.

You can go with friends!  Here I am with a dear friend of mine.

Yes, there are lots of people that I don't like. (No one specific, I just don't like people), however, they are all like minded individuals from my community.  No one who like, hates the environment, crafts and outdoors is going to be there.  So you are surrounded with people who at least have some things in common with you!  If that makes sense.

It supports your community.  These are farmers from your local community selling their produce and other items.  My guess is none of them drove for more then say, an hour, to get there.  And actually I think there is a distance limit in order to sell stuff.  So you know you are spending money that will go back into your community.  And plus, it's NOT spending money at big corporations that take over the world.  If you are into stuff like that....

I realize that isn't really a list... but farmers markets are awesome, just trust me and go!!

Also, in case you are offended when I say I don't like people that really means I am shy and don't like being the center of attention/ strangers talking to me.

Kisses~

What do you love about farmer's markets??

Happy Father's Day

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!

I know, I know I dropped the ball again.  I am supposed to have some fun craft or something for you guys.  I'm sorry.  And I promised I would do better next time.  I fail.  EPIC FAIL Super Mommy.  I'm sorrrrrryyyyyy!!!!

Well, I hope you all had a wonderful Father's Day.  We did.  Mostly.  I would like to give a shout out to Grumpy, who is a wonderful daddy (I know I pick on him a lot, especially in the blog).  I would like to share a picture of him holding our daughter when she was only a few days old.  Yeah he is totally in love with her.

And he is amazing with Cheetah Boy, who isn't his biological son.  He (Grumpy) has done very well considering he went from living the bachelor life, to a girlfriend and two kids in his home.  He is pretty great.  I have known some good Daddys and some bad Daddys, and he is defiantly a good one.

I also would like to shout out to my own Dad.  He is pretty awesome too.  I have fond memories of getting to eat ICE CREAM for every meal, playing "Hot Rock Dinosaur", tagging along with him to work, and many, many camping adventures.  He is also the most awesome Grandpa to all his grandkids, (he has 8 now counting my kiddos).  I couldn't ask for a better one.

I would also like to mention how today I always think about how grateful I am to still have my dad.  My BFF lost her dad a few years ago, as did Grumpy, and I can't imagine what they must go through.  Not to mention all the horrible things that have happened this past year, and all the fathers without their children, and children without their fathers. It all makes me sad.  But again, grateful that I have my dad and my kids have Grumpy.

Ok, enough sadness.  I will share some fun pictures from our father's day.

Never mind, my phone is being annoying.  But basically I made him a special breakfast.... wait I do that pretty much everyday.  He enjoyed his gifts, Season 1 and 2 of "Game of Thrones" (ick), a year subscription to National Geographic, a wooden sign that says "Dad's Garden" and this cool concrete alligator that if you set on the ground it looks like an alligator is swimming underneath, like its 3 pieces... that make sense?  Grumpy was able to take a nap, and we went out to dinner.  Oh and I took the kids out of the house for a little bit so he could watch some of his show and now that the kids are in bed I am downstairs so he can watch more of his show.  I don't like that show!  It is much too dark for me.

Anyway, there you go.  I hope you had a wonderful Father's Day!!

Kisses~

What did you do today??

Garage Sale: Part 1

I did it!  I went to some garage sales!  All on my own (well with Little Miss and Doggie).  I realize some of you don't understand how my mind works,  (ok none of you) but I am super impressed and proud of myself.  I shall tell you about my day, I know you are wondering.

Ok, so the neighborhood across the way from us was having a whole neighborhood garage sale type deal.  So there was a lot of them within walking distance of each other.  And it is a very nice neighborhood.  HUGE houses, so I figured the stuff would be less likely to have crazy dieses.  Wow, that is really judgmental or me huh? Sorry.  At least I'm admitting to it.  But no really, I want stuff that isn't totally broken down and crap!

So I drove over to the neighborhood and then walked around with Little Miss and Doggie for about two and a half hours!  I don't even know how many houses we went to.  I slowly became more brave.  The first few places I bought stuff, I just paid the asking price.  Then one place there was a bunch of books for $1 each, I asked if I they would take 6 for $5.  Pretty awesome!  And then I saw this little white cabinet deal for $20, and I asked if they would take $15.  They did.  Score.  It is perfect!  I needed something else to go downstairs to store the kid crafts stuff in.  This will be perfect!  I will show you a picture of everything I purchased.

And a close up.

Never mind,  I can't get the picture to load.  But basically I got that awesome cabinet deal, a basket (for 25 cents!!) some headbands, (that I would never put on my head, but I will put new fabric on them and then use them) and some gardening and craft books.  Pretty sweet.  All that for a grand total of $24.25.  What do you think?  Did I do good?  This is only my first time going so I don't really know.

Side note:  I had more "Oh she is so cute" comments about Doggie then Little Miss.  I have a theory that people love dogs more then babies.  All evidence is pointing to that.  People would add "Oh you are cute too"  and smile at the baby, but then go right back to petting Doggie and asking questions about her.  Very interesting.  Very, very interesting.

Another side note:  At every sale that had the man and wife out selling items, I noticed anytime someone would ask the man for some sort of deal, the man would look to his wife and ask them.  Yup, that's right, women rule the world.  Or at least the house.

Anyway, that was what I did today.  I also went to the Farmer's Market and worked on a few projects.

I should really go to bed.  It stays light out so late!!  I get confused.

Nighty-night.

Kisses~

So did I do a good job for my first time??

Happy Saturday!

Happy Saturday morning my lovely blog followers!  In my neck of the woods it had been SUPER nice, (which was unusual for this time of year) but then it got rainy again, and now today the sun has re-appeared!  I am a true Oregonian and love the rain, however, I must say I am ready for some sunshine and getting outside more!  I want to work on some outside projects and take a break from painting so much! It is fun and I love it, but I also love beautifying the outdoors as well!  I finally got some more work down on the front walkway, porch area yesterday.  (You can read those posts here.)   The bench is still there (as you can see on the picture I posted on FB today of our Farmer's Market finds!).  However I have a super awesome new idea for the bench!  I will try to get Grumpy to help me with it today.

Oh and yeah it is Farmer's Market time!  I love it.  I am working on a post all about why I love them, and why you should too!  Ours actually opened up on Mother's Day weekend, but we have been busy so today was the first time we were able to make it.  I am planning on going every Saturday, but we shall see.

Little Miss got a molar in.  I thought they were not supposed to come in until they are 2 years!?!?  No wonder she has been so grumpy like her daddy.  Maybe once they all come in she will sleep?  Ha, I can hope and dream right??

It is almost finals, so I really need to finish some work on my class.  I have a big project to do.  Ok it isn't like super big, its only 2-3 pages, but I haven't done any of it and I think it is due on Tuesday....

Oh if you noticed I have some ads on my page now.  Sorry if that makes you angry, I didn't put too many and you can clearly see they are ads, I'm not going to try to trick you into clicking on them or anything.  However, it is a way to support my blog.

I realize I am just rambling in this post, but I  just wanted to drop in and make sure you guys know I'm still here and love you all!  I am working on some new posts so hopefully will finish them up and get some new fun stuff soon!

Kisses~

What's been going on in your life? (I realize this is a dangerous question to ask, I'm just being polite.  Please do not vent to me.)

Getting Over my Disgust of Used Items (yuck, yuck!)

So.  I want to make sure you guys know something about me.

Wow that sounds really secretive and a little worrisome!  What am I going to tell you?

Nothing scary I promise!

Ok, I'll get to the point already.  As much as I love shopping for my home, I am/ or at least try to be as environmentally conscious as I can.  And I do love making crafts and the like.  So I am going to try to get over my fear of garage sale and craigslist items.  I will attempt to find cheaper older used items and fix them up, paint them, what have you, and put them in my home.

Fear?  Yes, I have a fear of used items when I don't know the originally owner.  Or I guess fear is the wrong word, but basically I think they are gross.  I believe they are full of herpes and other like diseases I know, no sense, none at all!  But that is what I think.

Grumpy will be so proud.  He loves anything he can get for cheap.  It does not matter if it is anything we will actually ever, ever, ever use or need!  But if he gets what he thinks is a good deal, he is all smiles and giggles like a child.  Needless to say, our garage is full of crap I would love to give away or have a garage sale of our own. But anytime I bring it up, Grumpy vetoes it.  I think I will slowly, one item at a time, donate it all.  He wouldn't even notice.

Anyway.  So yeah.  I have a few projects in mind (that you will soon begin to see!) and I guuuuueeeessssssssss I could find some cute older-used-full-of-diseases furniture and bleach them out and then sand down and paint them.  And I like rustic/antique-y looking stuff.  I think I will attempt to go a-garage-sale-ing this Saturday.  I'll let you know what happens.  Maybe.

Kisses~

Do you love or fear used items??

Happy Mother's Day.

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!  I realize as a blogger is it now my responsibility to have like fun stuff for holidays.  So I apologize for not being on the ball and having something done before hand to help you celebrate and have a marvelous day!  I also am supposed to have something super inspirational or a tear jerking story or whatever to help you feel good and happy about how wonderful being a Mama is or how to be super thankful for your own mother.  However, I'm not really good at touchy feely stuff like that, so I will allow my thoughts to wonder and you get to read it!  (I just love having a blog.  You all just read the weird, random stuff that goes through my mind!)

Some days, being a mom really f'ing sucks.  Like big time.  Recently a friend of mine said "No one told me being a mom would be this hard!"  My reply was "Yes, they did.  You just don't understand it until you actually are a parent.  You can't."  Kids will be screaming, needing one thing and then needing something else.  They throw up all over you, they poop on you, they hit you and scratch you, they tell you they hate you, they bite you, they pull your boob right off!  They never stop demanding your time, energy, resources and love.  They scream and scream, and once they know how to talk they ask and ask and ask. And the moment you think you are going to get a break, well you don't.  And it doesn't end. 24/7/365.  Forever and ever.  Why did we sign up for this anyway?  Some days I want to pull all my hair out and fall down on the floor and weep.  Some days when my child wont stop crying, I just sit and hold her and weep right along with her.  Some days I beg my children to please, please, please just behave.  Please let me sleep. Please let me finish cleaning the house.  Please just let me take a deep breath!  Seriously.

"Mommy, I just love you."

Or a smile from the baby.

Oh, that's why.  That is all it takes.  Love you too kiddos.

I hope you had a wonderful day!  If you are a Mom, I hope you took the time (what time?) to do something for yourself, even if it was just a couple minutes!  You deserve it.  And if you aren't, I hope you took the time to tell your Mom, or wife, or whoever that they are an awesome mom, because you will never understand how difficult it is to do all they do!

We Have a Winner!!

I'm sorry!  I realized I had posted on Facebook who the winner was for the giveaway but not on here!  My bad.  Please forgive me!

Well it was Anne!  She has already been notified.  Sorry if you didn't win, there could only be one.

Thank you all so much who took the time to like, share and follow my blog!  Your support means the world to me.  Seriously.  You guys are the bestest.

I will have more giveaways in the future.  I promise. (I just don't know how long into the future.)  This one got me 36 likes on Facebook.  That is pretty good for just a few days!  So next time it should be me, what, double that?  And before you know it, I'm a millionaire, and I will share my money with all your folks who have been supporting me from the start. Ha, ha yeah right, but wouldn't that be nice?

Computer Update

People.  Seriously.  I am loving this blog.  I so hope you all do too!!  But even if you don't, I guess I will never know!  But I am having so much fun!  I have SO many ideas!  Although, I can't help but worry I will run out of ideas at some point.  Oh well, I will try not to worry now.

I am even thinking about doing a series when a bunch of other blogs do, which is in October.  It is a deal where you blog every day, for the whole month about one main topic.  I already know what I am going to do.  Yup, I'm crazy.  But excited!  You will have to wait until October to find out what though!  (I have to do something to keep you coming back!)

Anyway.  I was going to give you an update on my computer.  I know you are all in a tizzy worrying about it!  (Right, we do have lives The Super-Mommy.  You are funny and all but we are not worried about you.)  Rude!

Ok well, it isn't fixed.  I came up with a new system to hold the cord in place though!  Wanna see? Huh? Huh?

Awesome.  I have to be very careful to keep it in this exact spot, which means I can not use the computer while I have it charging.  And then I can only use it for so long before the battery dies, so I have to use my computer time wisely.  So do I do homework or work on the blog?

Yes, homework.  I am taking an online class.  I know, I know I really am a Super Mommy!  Well except I have stuff due and I'm sitting here working on the blog, which comes back to my first point!  I am just so excited and love you guys!!!!

Alright. I'm done.

Kisses~

Are any of you a computer sales person and want to give me a free computer??  I will give an honest review of the computer! (Which due to the fact that I got it for free my review is sure to be a good one!)
